Maintenance Technician – 1000 West

About the role

The Maintenance Technician supports the physical condition of Greystar’s 1000 West property, ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position works Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work in a residential property environment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures, building codes and Greystar’s maintenance policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.
• Willingness to work on‑call rotations and adhere to the scheduled work hours.
