Maintenance Supervisor (Local 1896)

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This position combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of make‑ready processes and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve resident service requests and routine upkeep, following safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with policies, quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling maintenance work orders and make‑ready procedures in a residential community.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate the performance of maintenance staff and external service providers.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control, scheduling and budget adherence.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes and preventative maintenance best practices.
