Maintenance Supervisor for Residential Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas of the community meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This onsite position supports a 108‑unit mid‑rise property and requires flexibility to work weekends and on‑call as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.

Required profile

• Availability to work weekends and on‑call as required.
• Experience overseeing maintenance operations in a residential or multifamily setting.
• Ability to coordinate vendors, schedule work and manage inventory.

Required skills

• Diagnostic troubleshooting of building systems and mechanical issues.
• Hands‑on repair and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other facility components.
• Inventory management and procurement of maintenance supplies.
