Maintenance Call Center Operator

About the role

The Maintenance Call Center Operator provides front‑line support for facilities‑related inquiries at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working in the OPS Campus Operations TSS Call Center, the incumbent fields maintenance calls, logs requests, and coordinates timely responses to ensure a safe and functional campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming maintenance‑related calls and record details in the tracking system.
• Prioritize and dispatch work orders to appropriate facilities teams.
• Provide accurate information to callers regarding status of requests and expected resolution times.
• Maintain clear communication with internal departments and external vendors.
• Document all interactions and follow up to close out service tickets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in facilities management is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced call‑center environment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using ticketing or work‑order management systems.
