About the role
The Oceaneering Ocean Technologies (OTECH) group is seeking a Logistics Engineering Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Logistics Engineering Integrated Product Support (IPS) element. This role oversees a team of Logistics Engineers and ensures high‑quality logistics engineering products across programs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of logistics engineering products and services aligned with program requirements and sustainment strategies.
- Oversee creation of Logistics Product Data (LPD), maintenance plans, failure analysis, DMSMS/obsolescence mitigation, sparing analytics, and transportation planning.
- Integrate logistics considerations into system design, production, and sustainment phases and support proposal and ROM development.
- Serve as primary functional interface for logistics engineering, partnering with product support managers, engineering, supply chain, and program management.
- Develop and standardize logistics engineering processes, tools, and best practices, ensuring compliance with DoD and industry standards.
- Drive digital engineering initiatives such as digital thread and model‑based logistics, and establish metrics/KPIs for performance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of logistics engineering, sustainment engineering, or Integrated Product Support experience.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Required skills
- Logistics Product Data (LPD) development.
- Maintenance development and analysis.
- Failure analysis and corrective action recommendation.
- DMSMS/Obsolescence management and mitigation planning.
- Sparing analytics and provisioning support.
- Transportation planning and management.
- Digital thread and model‑based logistics concepts.
- Familiarity with DoD IPS standards (DoDI 5000 series, GEIA‑STD‑0007, MIL‑HDBK‑502, MIL‑STD‑3034, SD‑22).
- Experience with logistics data systems such as Product Support Analysis tools and ERP Costpoint.
