Leasing Professional (Lease Up) – Legato

About the role

We are seeking a Leasing Professional (Lease Up) for the Legato community in Austin. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue, and resident retention through comprehensive leasing activities and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, credit and background checks, preparing lease packages, and ensuring smooth move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, confirm readiness, and coordinate any outstanding items with maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community policies on concessions and specials.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing (Craigslist, Facebook, email, etc.).
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with ability to greet, qualify, and guide prospects.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and move‑in readiness.
• Ability to stay informed about local market trends and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.

Required skills

• Experience using property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency with internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
• Ability to conduct credit screening and criminal background checks.
