Lead Design Engineer - Electrical Systems

About the role

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to drive electrical system design for gas turbine and combined‑cycle power plants. You will guide projects from concept through field installation, delivering upgrades, conversions and new product introductions that enhance reliability, performance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on complex gas turbine and CCPP projects, ensuring safety and engineering standards.
• Integrate new electrical systems with existing plant infrastructure and manage system‑level documentation.
• Maintain accurate design drawings, Bill of Materials and ensure compliance with contractual scope.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Global Engineering and Advanced Technologies.
• Lead vendor technical engagements to guarantee product conformance to design specifications.
• Support field installation teams with timely technical resolutions and customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the power industry, preferably with field services or electrical engineering roles.
• Proven ability to solve moderate‑complexity technical challenges and make informed design decisions.

Required skills
