Junior Functional QA Tester

About the role

Stefanini is looking for a motivated Junior Functional QA Tester to join its software quality team. You will work closely with developers and cross‑functional teams to ensure that applications meet functional specifications and maintain high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Work with product and development teams to understand requirements and design appropriate test cases.
• Perform functional and regression testing to confirm that new changes do not impact existing features.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
• Provide timely reports on test progress, coverage, and defect metrics to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Functional QA Tester or in a similar testing role.
• Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with functional testing, regression testing, and test automation.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
