Journeyman Electrician

About the role

Dubak Electrical Group LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Journeyman Electrician to join its team in Sheldon, Iowa. The successful candidate will work on industrial projects, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power, control and instrumentation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical power, control and instrument systems on industrial sites.
• Work with voltage controls and circuits ranging from 110V to 4160V.
• Repair and calibrate instruments using testing equipment, handling load and line side components up to 4160V.
• Fabricate conduit racking systems and install EMT and rigid conduit.
• Install and calibrate process control instrumentation with PLC control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs for automated machinery and conveyor systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of 460V motors, controls and variable frequency drives.
• Read and update blueprints, P&ID, single‑line diagrams, ladder logic and wiring schematics.

Required profile

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Strong commitment to personal and team safety, including use of required PPE.
• Analytical mindset with ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.
• Readiness to travel for short periods when needed.

Required skills

• Experience with 110V, 440V, 4160V voltage control systems.
• Repair and maintenance of 460V motors and variable frequency drives.
• PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Process control instrumentation installation and calibration.
• Conduit fabrication and installation (EMT, rigid).
• Use of electrical testing and calibration equipment.
• Interpretation of blueprints, P&ID, single‑line diagrams, ladder logic and wiring schematics.
