Janitor

About the role

As a Janitor at RWB Thrift, you will ensure the thrift store remains clean, organized, and welcoming for customers and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene across the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface wiping tasks.
• Empty trash bins and recycling containers, ensuring proper waste separation.
• Retrieve shopping carts or baskets from entrances or parking areas and return them to designated locations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in thrift, retail, warehouse, or customer‑facing environments is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lb occasionally and exert up to 25 lb frequently.
• Endurance to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive hand motions and fine motor tasks.
• Balance and agility to navigate various floor surfaces safely.
• Clear visual acuity at close and distance ranges.
• Requirement to wear closed‑toe safety shoes.
