Interventional Pain Procedural Clinic RN

About the role

The Interventional Pain Procedural Clinic RN provides direct patient care for individuals undergoing pain management procedures. This full‑time, onsite position supports physicians in delivering safe, evidence‑based interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients before procedures, reviewing history, allergies, labs and baseline vitals.
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms, verify informed consent and educate on post‑procedure expectations.
• Assist physicians during epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials and other image‑guided interventions.
• Maintain sterile technique, manage medications (including moderate sedation, local anesthetics, IV drugs) and emergency meds per policy.
• Continuously monitor patients for vital sign changes, pain levels and complications throughout the procedure.
• Provide post‑procedure recovery care, manage discomfort, and deliver comprehensive discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, interventions, medication administration, procedural details and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Respond to emergencies using Advanced Cardiac Life Support protocols and adhere to infection‑prevention standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an ACEN‑approved nursing program with an Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or diploma.
• Current Arkansas RN license and at least 1 year of direct RN nursing care experience (2 years preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred for procedural areas.
