Intern – Project Support in Graphic/Web Design and Communication

About the role

This internship supports the Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) within the United Nations Department of Operational Support. The intern will work on graphic and web design projects that communicate the organization’s vision, mission, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Design core identity products such as corporate briefings, presentations, fact sheets, and visual snapshots.
• Prepare and edit copy for print and online communication materials.
• Support website development, including layout, content placement, and overall look and feel.
• Provide design support for a range of print and digital products.
• Collaborate with the team to update and maintain Services and Sections pages on SharePoint and iSeek.
• Create a communication plan for social‑media platforms, selecting topics, posting frequency, and integration options.
• Apply graphic design skills to improve visual appeal, user experience, and brand consistency.
• Incorporate interactive elements, icons, and layouts to make information more accessible for internal stakeholders.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new design ideas.

Required profile

• Some experience with graphic design and website design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on design projects.
• Interest in supporting UN operational communication and supply‑chain initiatives.
