Intensive Case Management Internship (Unpaid)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an unpaid Intensive Case Management Intern to support newly arrived refugees and immigrants in the United States. Working hybrid, the intern will join the ICM team to help assess client needs, coordinate services, and build pathways to self‑sufficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ICM team in evaluating skill and resource gaps for clients.
• Support the development of client resiliency and self‑sufficiency plans.
• Help coordinate medical care, social services, and community resources for vulnerable populations.
• Conduct wellness assessments at designated intervals for clients in ICM or SCM programs.
• Maintain accurate case file documentation of all direct services rendered.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen or holder of U.S. work authorization.
• Enrolled in a post‑secondary institution or graduated within the past two years.
• Based in the United States.
• Strong interest in humanitarian work and refugee resettlement.
