About the role

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Fresno State seeks motivated students to support course delivery as Instructional Student Assistants. This part‑time, temporary role offers hands‑on experience in academic support during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and submit student records and grades.
• Evaluate assignments and provide feedback.
• Manage the Canvas learning management system for the assigned course.
• Attend class lectures to assist the instructor as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Enrolled in at least 6 credit units.
• Demonstrated commitment to merit, diversity, accessibility, and equal opportunity.

Required skills

• Canvas LMS management.
