About the role

The Inside Sales Representative – EMD End User will join 3M’s global sales team, focusing on virtual sales, upselling and cross‑selling strategically aligned products to distribution partners and customers. This role is designed for candidates transitioning from private, public, government or military backgrounds into a career at 3M.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive 3M sales to assigned distribution partners within managed territories.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships by understanding their business and sales models.
  • Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
  • Maintain and update a sales plan with strategies and tactics to meet annual forecasts.
  • Demonstrate procedural and technical product knowledge to match customer needs.
  • Achieve sales quota, quality and productivity metrics while meeting monthly phone and activity goals.
  • Collaborate with field sales representatives and share best practices within the team.
  • Identify market trends and account needs to adjust tactics and reach sales targets.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (verified prior to start).
  • At least one year of combined experience in sales and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Three years of sales or inside‑sales experience, preferably within electrical markets.
  • Solid understanding of 3M distributor product lines.
  • Knowledge of key market distributors.
