Information Security Analyst I

About the role

The Information Security Analyst I will support United Health Service in protecting its information systems and sensitive patient data. Working under senior security professionals, the analyst assists with security operations, compliance, incident response, and the implementation of security controls within a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise security solutions to ensure effectiveness and compliance with hospital policies.
• Conduct routine security checks, vulnerability scans, and compliance audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Analyze network traffic for anomalous behavior and potential threats.
• Develop and manage security dashboards and reports presenting actionable metrics.
• Assist in investigating security incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending remediation.
• Participate in cyber incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post‑incident reporting.
• Perform forensic analysis of system logs, alerts, and digital evidence.
• Deploy, integrate, and configure new security tools and technologies.
• Support implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and maintain a risk register.
• Monitor external threat intelligence sources for emerging cyber threats relevant to healthcare.
