Infectious Disease Physician (Board Certified)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified infectious disease physicians to join its growing Department of Infectious Diseases at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, supporting transplant programs, and contributing to academic and research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultations, including support for solid organ and hematopoietic stem‑cell transplant programs.
• Participate in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention/control, and the OPAT program.

Required profile

• Board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Strong clinical skills, academic accomplishment, and professional behavior.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in infectious diseases, including travel, NTM, and transplant specialties.
• Experience with antimicrobial stewardship and collaboration with infectious disease pharmacists.
