Physician - Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician

About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a fellowship‑trained Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Michael R. Boh Center for Child Development in New Orleans. The physician will provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for infants, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent and interdisciplinary developmental‑behavioral consultations across a spectrum of conditions including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and learning disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, psychologists, speech‑language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to improve access to diagnostic services and close treatment gaps.
• Participate in the education of medical students, pediatric residents, and community pediatric professionals at Xavier‑Ochsner College of Medicine and the University of Queensland‑Ochsner Clinical School.
• Lead or contribute to the development of a fellowship program in Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrics and engage in clinical research and scholarly activities.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified pediatrician with fellowship training in Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrics.
• Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and provide high‑quality diagnostic evaluations.
• Commitment to teaching, mentorship, and participation in academic activities.
