Income Tax Manager

About the role

Navan is looking for a highly motivated Income Tax Manager to join its growing Tax team in New York City. The role focuses on income tax provision, reporting, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions while supporting strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provisions and related ASC 740 disclosures.
• Manage U.S. and foreign tax compliance in partnership with external providers.
• Conduct federal, state, and international income tax analyses, including R&D credit, stock‑based compensation, and fixed‑asset depreciation.
• Maintain the tax calendar and ensure timely filing of all income‑tax obligations.
• Support tax planning projects, model tax impacts, and drive process improvements.
• Monitor legislative changes, quantify tax impacts, and document technical tax positions.
• Collaborate with third‑party consultants to meet all tax requirements accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of tax compliance and accounting experience, including 4+ years in public accounting with ASC 740 exposure.
• Proactive, resource‑ful team player with strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
