Human Resources Specialist – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a contract Human Resources Specialist to support Amazon's global payroll and HR operations. You will ensure accurate, zero‑error payroll processing for hourly employees across multiple countries while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process base‑pay corrections, compensation adjustments, and job‑code/status changes in line with payroll cut‑offs.
• Resolve employee tickets by reviewing documentation and maintaining detailed records.
• Administer HR policies and procedures related to employee relations.
• Document process gaps, create SOPs, and produce root‑cause analysis reports.
• Lead cross‑functional HR projects from initiation to completion, developing project plans, tracking milestones, and managing risks.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, prepare project charters, status reports, and post‑implementation reviews.
• Coordinate system implementation initiatives, user‑acceptance testing, and change‑management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or project management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities across time zones.
• Adaptability to new policies, technologies, and evolving processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems (PeopleSoft preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
