Head of Claims

About the role

ClaimSorted is seeking a visionary Head of Claims to redesign the entire claims lifecycle across multiple product lines and regions. This senior position blends operational leadership with technical product thinking to create a more empathetic, efficient, and human claims experience.

Key responsibilities

• Rebuild claims operations from first principles, redesigning workflows, escalation structures, QA systems, and governance.
• Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks, creating scalable standards for auto, property, liability, travel, renters, and other lines of business.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to automate processes using AI and improve overall efficiency.
• Own governance for complex, high‑risk, litigated, or precedent‑setting claims and drive improvements in leakage, fraud prevention, and recoveries.
• Review difficult claims personally, making final technical decisions when needed.
• Hire, develop, and coach elite claims teams, raising the technical bar across the organization.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in claims, insurance operations, or related fields.
• Strong track record of redesigning large‑scale operational processes.
• Ability to work hands‑on with claims while influencing product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent decision‑making under pressure and a passion for building innovative, data‑driven solutions.
