About the role

Join the team at The Hill Has Eyes, Wisconsin’s award‑winning outdoor haunted attraction, as a Haunt Actor for the 2026 season. You’ll bring scares to life in a fast‑paced, immersive environment, working evenings throughout the Halloween period.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in a costumed role to scare guests while following safety and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with fellow actors, directors, and haunt staff to deliver consistent, entertaining scares.
• Study scripts, memorize lines, stunts and cues, and rehearse regularly.
• Work with lighting, costume, makeup, and prop crews to ensure the character looks and moves as intended.
• Maintain smooth entry, occupancy and exit flow for guests in your assigned area.

Required profile

• Willingness to work every night of the operation, primarily Friday and Saturday evenings.
• Ability to walk, stand and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning the role, making new friends and contributing to a team atmosphere.

Required skills

• Reading comprehension of scripts and operational documents.
• Active listening to cues from directors and fellow staff.
• Clear speaking to convey character dialogue.
• Social perceptiveness to gauge guest reactions and adjust performance.
