About the role

The Seventeen Hundred on East, a high‑rise community in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the property’s appearance and support the service team. This full‑time position ensures that common areas, amenities, and curb appeal meet Greystar’s standards while providing courteous service to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings to keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool‑area gates operate safely.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents or incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods while performing physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a respectful attitude toward residents and team members.
• Willingness to follow safety and risk‑management policies and attend required training.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
