Groom Technician

About the role

The Groom Technician at Petsense provides exceptional care for dogs and cats while delivering a memorable "WOW!" customer experience. You will work directly with pets and their owners, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and high‑quality grooming services.

Key responsibilities

• Handle pets safely, inspecting for parasites, disease, or injury and reporting findings.
• Perform bathing, drying, brushing, combing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and preparatory hair trimming.
• Apply basic clipper and finishing techniques for all coat types.
• Maintain and sanitize grooming tools, equipment, and holding areas.
• Assist with business generation: call customers, schedule appointments, send reminders, and verify vaccinations.
• Document services provided and maintain accurate pet records.
• Support store recovery tasks and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Comfortable working with dogs and cats; patient and compassionate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed Level 1 Paragon Training and certification through Petsense.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Provide own grooming tools or be willing to purchase required equipment.
