Global Public Interest Law Counsel

About the role

The Global Legal Compliance (GLC) team at TikTok is seeking an experienced attorney to lead public‑interest, political‑law and ESG compliance initiatives worldwide. The role supports product, technology and business teams by providing integrated legal guidance on regulatory inquiries, lobbying disclosures, sustainability reporting and corporate social responsibility matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, complaints and audits related to political activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct compliance reviews for ongoing lobbying disclosures and manage political‑law compliance frameworks.
• Advise business units on sustainability‑related risks, ESG reporting obligations and due‑diligence requirements.
• Monitor and interpret existing and proposed ESG and political‑law regulations, providing timely assessments to cross‑functional teams.
• Develop, enhance and implement policies, procedures and controls for political‑law and ESG compliance.
• Provide counsel on CSR partnerships, employee‑engagement programs and related agreements.
• Evaluate engagements with government entities, including sponsorships, donations, political advertising, and third‑party service provider agreements.
• Design and deliver compliance training and communication plans.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading regulatory responses and compliance programs in political‑law and ESG domains.
• Strong understanding of lobbying disclosure requirements and sustainability reporting standards across jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments with global teams.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and advisory skills.
