Global Product Support Engineer III Senior

About the role

Applied Materials designs, builds and services cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer III Senior will develop procedures, support new products, and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful product launches and field performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for new metal deposition products such as ALD, PEALD, and CVD.
• Participate in FMECA, CAPA, and Failure Analysis activities to resolve field issues.
• Own first‑chamber build and test in the Apps lab and collaborate with engineering on issue resolution.
• Create technical product manuals, Customer Engineering Notices (CENs), and Internal Service Bulletins (ISBs).
• Collect qualification data, develop training packages, and deliver training to Customer Engineers and Process Engineers.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in semiconductor deposition technologies (ALD, CVD, PEALD).
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in FMECA, CAPA, and failure analysis.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
