General Trades Tech / Groundskeeper Supervisor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a General Trades Tech/Groundskeeper Supervisor to support the East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. Working under broad supervision, you will lead a team that maintains and repairs state‑owned facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for staff and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi‑skilled and skilled building‑trade tasks, including repair, maintenance, and construction of hospital structures.
• Install, inspect, and maintain security systems, climate‑control equipment, and other facility systems.
• Provide 24‑hour on‑call support as needed to address urgent maintenance issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in building repairs and maintenance, or two years in a lower‑level General Trades Tech position.
• Ability to obtain any area‑specific certifications or licenses required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
• Completion of mandatory pre‑employment screenings, including drug test, tuberculosis evaluation, and annual influenza vaccination.
