About the role

The Upland Unified School District is seeking a dedicated General Education Teacher to instruct K‑8 students at Foothill Knolls Academy for the 2026‑2027 school year. This full‑time position involves delivering a comprehensive curriculum across multiple subjects and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess instruction in core subjects for kindergarten through eighth grade.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with district standards and adapt instruction for diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate results to parents and administrators.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and support staff to enhance instructional practices.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Support English learners by implementing appropriate strategies and resources.

Required profile

• Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or University Intern Credential (General Subjects).
• Valid teaching credential for K‑8 instruction.
• Copy of transcript and English Learner Authorization (certificate or embedded in credential).
• Letter of Introduction and up‑to‑date resume.
• Three current letters of recommendation (written within the last twelve months).

Required skills

• Ability to teach multiple subjects across K‑8 grade levels.
• Strong knowledge of elementary and middle‑school curriculum standards.
