SOF Coach/Mentor – Special Operations Training

About the role

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Coach/Mentor to support the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and National Training Center (NTC) programs. The role involves providing subject‑matter expertise and realistic scenario execution to rotational training units.

Key responsibilities

• Fill assigned roles and act as a coach/mentor for training units as directed by the SOF RP Branch Manager.
• Execute scripted and non‑scripted scenario‑driven training events, maintaining close interaction with the rotational unit, JRTC/NTC cadre, and other role players.
• Replicate assigned personas or positions authentically, including daily duties, adversary portrayals, and interactions with host‑nation officials, civilians, foreign government representatives, and U.S. DoD personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring exercise realism and a positive training environment.

Required profile

• 4+ years of Special Operations Forces experience, including 18‑Series SOF background.
• Comprehensive understanding of military fundamentals, customs, courtesies, organization, and terminology.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Pass pre‑employment and random drug screenings.
• Physical fitness sufficient for extended operations in diverse outdoor conditions.
• Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork orientation, and work ethic.
