General Anesthesiologist – North Shore Region

About the role

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our North Shore Anesthesia group, which provides coverage at Covington ASC, Slidell East, and Slidell Main. The position includes basic pediatric, obstetric, and cardiac anesthesia services and requires collaboration with community and Ochsner surgeons, strong medical‑staff relationships, and use of the Epic electronic medical record system. Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore is a 165‑bed acute‑care hospital with a 24‑hour emergency department, the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on the North Shore, and a high‑volume surgical and cardiac program serving over 52,000 cases annually.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia coverage for basic pediatric, obstetric, and cardiac cases across Covington ASC, Slidell East, and Slidell Main.
• Collaborate closely with community and Ochsner surgeons and proceduralists to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records for comprehensive documentation and communication.
• Contribute to a high‑volume anesthesia service handling more than 52,000 cases each year.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Ability to work effectively with community and Ochsner surgeons and proceduralists.
• Commitment to using Epic electronic medical records.
• Open to candidates with experience or directly from training.
