Physician - Non-Invasive Cardiologist

About the role

Ochsner Health’s Department of Cardiology is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Non‑Invasive Cardiologist to join a high‑volume practice in Slidell, Louisiana. You will work alongside six cardiologists and six APPs at Slidell Memorial Hospital, serving a diverse patient population in the Northshore region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive non‑invasive cardiac care, including EKGs, ECGs, and interpretation of studies.
• Potentially perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and implant loop recorders as needed.
• Participate in clinic visits and hospital rounding with support from APPs.
• Share on‑call coverage with a 1:5 weekend/weekday ratio.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Non‑Invasive Cardiology.
• Experience in a high‑volume cardiology practice and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EKG and ECG acquisition and interpretation.
• Familiarity with TEE and loop recorder procedures.
• Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
