Gastroenterology Physician (Board Certified/Eligible)

About the role

Ochsner Health’s Department of Gastroenterology is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its practice at the Kenner and St. Charles Parish campuses. The position focuses on general gastroenterology within a collaborative, physician‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general gastroenterology care to inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Participate in a 24‑physician group that includes gastroenterologists, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists.
• Work alongside Advanced Practice Professionals to manage consults, outpatient clinics, and patient overflow.
• Share an on‑call schedule with the large GI group and coordinate with 24/7 hospitalists onsite.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Interest in teaching opportunities is welcomed.
• J‑1 visa candidates may be considered for the St. Charles Parish campus.
