About the role
Join the Dallas Mavericks' Game Presentation team as a Game Entertainment Intern, supporting the creation and execution of in‑game fan experiences for the 2025‑26 NBA season. You will help bring live entertainment, contests, and sponsor activations to life while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced sports environment.
Key responsibilities
- Research NBA archives, social media, pop culture and entertainment trends to inform creative concepts.
- Assist in planning and executing halftime shows, anthem performances, pre‑game entertainment, theme nights, contests, fan features and sponsor‑related elements.
- Support rehearsals and game‑day preparation by organizing back‑of‑house areas, production materials, props, uniforms, credentials, signage and other event needs.
- Help cue performers, contestants, special guests and fan participants according to production scripts and timing cues.
- Assist live event execution, including camera shots, performances, contests and other production requirements.
- Prepare and organize scripts, rundowns, timing sheets, production notes, event‑day documents and post‑event recaps.
- Facilitate communication between Game Presentation, Entertainment, Production, Arena Operations and other internal teams.
- Support special events, auditions, promotional shoots, community appearances and other non‑game‑day productions as needed.
Required profile
- Current college sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Marketing, Advertising or a related field.
- Ability to attend all Mavericks home games and related events.
- Excellent time‑management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Team‑first attitude, adaptable work ethic and ability to lift up to 40 lb.
- Availability to work up to 29 hours per week (3‑4 days), including nights and weekends, from October 1 2026 to April 30 2027.
- Attendance at mandatory in‑person internship development sessions on Monday mornings.
Required skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
