Full Stack Agentic Engineer

About the role

EngagementNext Sketch LLC is looking for a contract Full Stack Agentic Engineer to help build an AI‑native marketplace platform. You will work closely with the Lead Platform Architect on agentic systems and backend layers, delivering production‑ready features for a real user cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑agent orchestration architectures with state‑machine‑backed agents.
• Integrate large language models at scale, handling prompt design, tool/function calling, streaming responses, and cost‑aware model selection.
• Develop and maintain Supabase + PostgreSQL backend, including schema design, Row‑Level Security policies, triggers, indexes, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Wire agents to the database, creating read/write paths, real‑time subscriptions, and audit/observability layers.
• Implement Human‑in‑the‑Loop patterns such as approval gates, exception handling, and override flows.
• Build retrieval and context‑management components for document grounding, RAG, and long‑context handling.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with modern agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI) and ability to discuss design trade‑offs.
• Deep understanding of multi‑agent orchestration patterns (directed graphs, supervisor/worker, hierarchical, event‑driven).
• Proven track record integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) at production scale, including function calling, structured JSON output, streaming, retries, and rate‑limit handling.
• Strong expertise in Supabase, PostgreSQL, and SQL performance analysis (EXPLAIN plans).
• Experience building HITL workflows and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines.
