French Teacher (2026‑2027 school year)

About the role

BASIS Plano is hiring a French Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality French instruction, develop engaging lesson plans, and contribute to the school’s internationally competitive curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver subject‑specific lesson plans aligned with the BASIS Curriculum.
• Provide interactive, higher‑level French instruction to promote exceptional student outcomes.
• Assess student progress through creative assignments and examinations.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to refine curriculum and share best practices.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to strengthen language proficiency.
• Manage classroom behavior and support a respectful learning environment.
• Participate in non‑instructional duties such as “Early Bird,” “Late Bird,” and lunch supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or a related field (or 24+ credit hours in French with another degree).
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• 2+ years of teaching or education experience preferred.
• Passion for French language and culture, and ability to inspire students.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
