FP&A Team Lead

About the role

World Business Lenders is seeking a hands‑on FP&A Team Lead to own and drive a defined area of its Financial Planning & Analysis function. The role is fully remote and operates on a contract basis, supporting corporate planning, performance, and portfolio‑capital forecasting for a fast‑growing lender.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, prioritize and coordinate daily work of FP&A Analysts, reviewing deliverables and providing coaching.
• Own and maintain recurring financial models, forecasts, and management reports within the assigned functional area.
• Validate model accuracy, logical consistency, methodology and ensure outputs reconcile to source data and financial statements.
• Analyze results, identify material drivers, challenge assumptions and prepare clear explanations for senior management.
• Conduct scenario, sensitivity and decision‑support analyses for budgeting, re‑forecasting, and capital planning.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and other departments to gather inputs, resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
• Document assumptions, version control, change logs and process documentation for key models.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, automate and streamline recurring FP&A processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial modeling or a closely related finance role.
• Prior experience leading, reviewing or mentoring analysts or finance professionals.
• Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
