Floating Assistant Community Manager – NYC & Long Island

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Floating Assistant Community Manager (ACM) to support the day‑to‑day operations of multiple residential communities across NYC, Westchester County and Long Island. The ACM works closely with on‑site Community Managers to ensure residents receive excellent service and properties run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily community operations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Oversee property maintenance, vendor relationships and service contracts.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, handling inquiries and fostering engagement.
• Support leasing activities, conduct tours, process applications and manage lease documentation.
• Assist with financial tasks such as rent collection, budget tracking and expense management.
• Perform administrative duties including phone/email handling and record maintenance.
• Conduct regular property inspections to verify standards and report findings.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly learn community specifics (unit mix, amenities, market conditions, PMS reports, etc.).
• Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments, supervisors and geographic scope.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and internal teams.
• Capacity to support multiple properties simultaneously.
