Fleet/Equipment Mechanic Associate

About the role

Dubak Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Fleet/Equipment Mechanic Associate to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles. The associate will work closely with the lead mechanic to learn and execute all aspects of fleet upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections to identify leaks, brake issues, lighting problems, tire condition, fluid levels and overall appearance.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, coolant flushes, brake jobs, tire rotations, tire plugging, filter changes and address minor mechanical issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems across the fleet and determine if repairs can be completed in‑house.
• Install and outfit vehicles with truck boxes, shelving units, ladder racks, bulkheads and other accessories.
• Maintain aerial lifts (scissor lifts and booms), including battery care, cleaning, greasing and minor repairs.
• Execute basic hydraulic filter changes and cylinder/piston rebuilds.
• Repair power tools, addressing cords, brushes, switches and basic troubleshooting.
• Report all issues to the lead mechanic and support other departments such as Equipment or Warehouse as needed.

Required profile

• Some knowledge of motor technology and practical mechanical skills.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Strong communication ability and capacity to follow instructions.
• Problem‑solving mindset.
• Own basic mechanical tools (preferred).
• Detail‑oriented and thorough in all work performed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
