Molding Operator – 1st Shift

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is looking for a reliable Molding Operator to work the first shift on its injection molding lines. The role involves operating molding presses, inspecting parts, and supporting overall production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and rotary injection molding machines.
• Inspect molded parts for defects such as under‑fill and flash.
• Use hand tools (side cutters, box cutters, de‑flashing tools) to trim and finish parts.
• Perform hourly quality inspections and document results.
• Weigh containers and verify part counts using scales.
• Create shipping labels in SAP and manage inventory records.
• Measure parts with precision gauges and calipers.
• Apply 5S procedures and maintain a hazard‑free work area.
• Report equipment irregularities to the team lead or supervisor.
• Monitor resin dryer levels and exchange re‑grind barrels as needed.
• Enforce proper PPE use and plant safety policies.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift 35 lb regularly.
• Understanding of measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
• Compliance with ITAR requirements (US person status).
