Finisher I – 3rd Shift

About the role

Finisher I – 3rd Shift is responsible for the final finishing of precision aerospace components at Moog’s Buffalo facility. The role ensures that machined parts are free of burrs, sharp edges and surface imperfections before they move to inspection and assembly, supporting safety and performance requirements for demanding military applications.

Key responsibilities

• Remove sharp edges, burrs and surface imperfections from machined components to meet engineering and quality specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for defects or irregularities that could affect product performance or compliance.
• Support product durability by ensuring components are properly finished before inspection or assembly.
• Help prevent structural failures and assembly issues by eliminating excess material and manufacturing defects.
• Prepare parts for the next production stage by ensuring they are clean, safe and ready for inspection, assembly or shipment.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand verbal, written and computer work instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
• At least three months of related experience, including deburring and/or finishing in a machine‑shop environment.
• Enrollment and participation in Moog’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program as required by Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

• Hourly pay $20.00–$22.50 with a 10 % shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift employees.
