Financial Controller – Broker‑Dealer Accounting

About the role

Webull is seeking a results‑driven Financial Controller with broker‑dealer accounting experience to lead the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for its U.S. broker‑dealer and subsidiaries. The role is highly visible, owning the close process, financial reporting and internal controls across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full month‑end close for several affiliated entities, including journal entry review, bank reconciliations and AP/AR oversight.
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, P&L, equity and cash‑flow statements.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of the closing process.
• Develop, mentor and structure the accounting team to enhance efficiency.
• Research and document accounting pronouncements, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Design, test and remediate internal controls.
• Act as liaison with auditors, tax accountants and regulatory examiners.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of broker‑dealer accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience managing multi‑entity close processes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting staff.
