Financial Analyst

About the role

The Finance team safeguards the company's assets, manages risk, and delivers transparent financial reporting. As a Financial Analyst you will support quarterly and annual IFRS reporting, produce periodic financial reports, and help the business understand its performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with management on strategic and financial planning initiatives.
• Assist in the consolidation and analysis of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements during monthly close.
• Track overhead expenses, provide commentary on variances, and support budgeting cycles.
• Partner with the Finance Manager on inventory depreciation reserve analysis and risk mitigation.
• Present qualitative and quantitative financial results to department leaders (Communications, CRM, IT, Construction) on a quarterly basis.
• Perform detailed variance analysis of actuals vs. budget, reforecast, and prior year.
• Support gross margin reconciliation and goods‑in‑transit analysis.
• Execute financial controlling tasks in the procurement system (PO approvals, user management).
• Develop and maintain work files for hard close and annual budget cycles.
• Enhance reporting tools and templates within Cegid, SAP, TM1, and Excel.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and contribute to special projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar financial analysis role.
• Background in the retail industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IFRS reporting and financial planning cycles.
