Field Inspector 1099 Contractor

About the role

Seek Now is looking for independent 1099 subcontractors to perform accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections. As a Field Inspector you will be the frontline expert collecting critical data for insurance, facility management, and real‑estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lift and set up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure and scope roof or room components of various shapes and sizes.
• Perform complete inspections, identifying age, condition and any damage.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected areas, often on assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks, with lodging provided.
• Document inspections using Seek Now’s proprietary smartphone software and operate equipment such as 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.

Required profile

• Own a reliable truck, van or SUV capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Operational laptop and smartphone with ability to navigate applications and use Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, general liability insurance and LLC documentation.
• Ability to travel on short notice, especially during hurricanes or tornado events.
• Professional appearance and ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.

Required skills

• Use of 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters for inspection.
• Proficiency with proprietary inspection software on a smartphone.
• Microsoft Office suite for data entry and reporting.
