Field Clinical Specialist – Shockwave

About the role

The Field Clinical Specialist will provide case support to physicians for peripheral and coronary interventional procedures using Shockwave Medical's Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) technology. The role includes training, procedural coverage, and participation in clinical studies across West Virginia and occasionally other territories.

Key responsibilities

• Train physicians and hospital staff on safe and effective use of IVL devices.
• Provide procedural case coverage and support during pre‑market and post‑market phases.
• Present clinical study training materials and manage study investigators.
• Collect and ensure timely data for clinical programs and assist with site re‑training.
• Handle administrative tasks, travel budgeting, and territory management.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, science, nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years supporting interventional or surgical procedures in a hospital setting, or 1 year of industry/life‑sciences sales support.
• Knowledge of clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance for trials.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to travel >50% and lift up to 40 lbs.
