About the role
This on‑campus work‑study position supports the Financial Aid Office at Texas A&M International University. The student will assist staff with daily office operations while gaining valuable administrative experience.
Key responsibilities
- Handle routine inquiries from employees and students.
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance of the department.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing documents.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credit hours for undergraduates, 3 for graduates).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
- Have a current, complete file with the Office of Financial Aid and demonstrate financial need via FAFSA.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non‑citizen with an alien registration number.
- Meet all requirements of TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a personal computer workstation and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
