Family/Internal Medicine Physician (Board Certified/Eligible)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join its downtown Lafayette primary‑care team. The position is 100 % outpatient with limited call and strong support from multidisciplinary resources.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care services to a diverse patient population, including Medicaid beneficiaries.
• Utilize EPIC EMR and digital‑medicine tools to manage chronic conditions and reduce documentation time.
• Collaborate with LPN care coordinators, outpatient care managers, and remote‑messaging nurses to close care gaps.
• Participate in quality‑incentive programs and benefit from hospitalist support for on‑call duties.
• Engage in alternative scheduling options and flexible work‑hour arrangements.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Commitment to serving diverse communities and improving community health outcomes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience using digital medicine platforms for chronic disease management.
