Experienced Surface Exploration Diamond Driller (Alaska)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Surface Exploration Diamond Driller to join a remote dry‑camp project in Alaska. The role involves operating Hydracore 2000 diamond drills on a 4‑weeks‑on / 2‑weeks‑off rotation, supporting helicopter‑based drill moves and delivering high‑quality core samples for exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Extract core samples using Hydracore 2000 diamond core drills, performing HQ and NQ coring as required.
• Monitor instrument readings such as pressure gauges, feed and weight indicators, and assess return material colour, volume and consistency.
• Apply appropriate sampling techniques and maintain accurate records for client and company reporting.
• Operate and troubleshoot drill‑related equipment, including trucks, support vehicles, pumps, heaters, compressors and mud recirculation systems.
• Supervise the Drill Assistant and crew, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Maintain and organise equipment, supplies and tooling for the rig and support vehicles.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a diamond driller in surface exploration projects.
• Demonstrated ability to perform helicopter‑supported drill relocations and work safely in rugged, remote environments.
• Capability to lead a small crew and enforce HSE procedures.
• Availability to start in June 2026 for a five‑month contract.
