Event Supervisor (Freelance)

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a freelance Event Supervisor for a project from 28 September 2026 to 9 January 2027. The supervisor reports directly to the Event Manager and manages the organisation, planning and staffing of all guest-facing staff and services, working with a local team of 15-20 people each night. The role is based in New York.

Schedule: approximately six days per week, typically 14:00-23:30 plus meetings and reporting, with prep work from home and on-site work for load-in, the event and strike.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, plan and staff guest-facing operations to deliver a successful event and positive guest experience
• Act as event control and communicate with all departments
• Work with Fever Ops On-site Coordinators on ticketing and POS system setup
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns
• Handle pre-show and post-show checklists
• Liaise with the local labour provider for FOH and retail staff, validate schedules and time sheets, and support staff welfare and break patterns
• Manage facilities such as toilets, cleaners and bins, and maintain on-site equipment in line with health and safety standards
• Coordinate vendors (custodian, security, F&B, merchandising) and control the site in adverse weather
• Implement standard operating procedures across security, medical, parking, guest experience, accessibility and staffing

Required profile

• At least three years managing large outdoor festivals, illumination trails or experiential events
• Leadership skills, including training and holding others accountable
• Strong communication and people-management skills, calm under pressure
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays if needed
• Must be able to work in the event country: resident and permitted to work, or hold a work visa/permit

• First-aid certification is a plus
