Estate Planning Paralegal

About the role

A Trusts & Estates law firm in Coral Gables, Florida is hiring a full-time, in-office Estate Planning Paralegal. The role is a mix of paralegal and client services and is very client-facing: the team member becomes the client's main point of contact from engagement until the end of representation. It is described as a long-term position with promotion from within.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and host the initial intake meetings with clients
• Act as liaison between the attorney and the client
• Lead the signing ceremony and explain the client's estate plan
• Run the funding meeting and assist clients in titling and naming assets
• Manage databases and software programs such as Clio

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in estate planning paralegal work
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Driven work ethic, sound judgment and a responsible, professional demeanor

Required skills

• Competence with multiple databases and portals, such as Clio, Monday.com and Wealth Counsel
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe applications

What we offer

• Salary of $65,000 to $80,000 per year
• Full-time, in-office position in Coral Gables, FL
