Entry-Level Seasonal Tax Preparer

About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as entry‑level seasonal tax preparers. This position offers flexible scheduling and the chance to gain hands‑on experience preparing federal and state tax returns while supporting clients through the filing process.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through tax preparation, explaining forms and requirements.
• Prepare accurate year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state tax returns.
• Provide IRS audit support and answer client questions.
• Complete electronic filing and supply printed copies for client review and signature.
• Submit completed returns to the IRS and relevant state agencies.

Required profile

• No prior tax experience required; willingness to learn.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including seasonal peaks.
• Strong attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
• PTIN certification or willingness to obtain it.
